The perfect marriage of understated style and time-tested warm weather comfort, our Original Espadrilles are the perfect choice for the beach to the city & everywhere in between.

Inspired by the beloved Mediterranean beach staple, yet updated, and dare we say it, improved, with a custom feminine shape, better construction, and higher-quality fabrics.

The secret is the same: the 100% cotton upper, authentic 100% jute sole, and hand-crafted stitching create a shoe that breathes so you can stay cool wherever the day and night take you.

Our nautical-inspired Classic Stripes collection brings the sea to the land, inspired by the timeless Breton uniform.

Base Height: 15mm / 0.7in

Materials

  • Upper: 10oz 100% cotton fabric.
  • Lining: Undyed 100% cotton twill fabric made from 50% BCI cotton and 50% recycled cotton.
  • Base: 100% authentic and biodegradable jute (no plastic fakes here).
  • Outsole: Undyed rubber made from 68% naturally derived sources.
  • Heel Pocket: Vegan microsuede partially made from recycled content.
  • Heel Pad: 100% flax linen.
  • Soludos Label: 100% recycled polyester.

Fit true to size.

Like the heritage version from Spain, our espadrilles come in full sizes and are made to be flexible and adaptable to natural foot variations. Select whichever size range you typically fall into. For example, if you typically wear an 8 or an 8.5, select the size 8-8.5.

But unlike the heritage version from Spain, we do make ours with a left and right foot (you'll thank us later).

Heads up, these are meant to feel a bit snug out of the box and mold to your feet within 15-30 minutes of wear.

    These are gorgeous, flattering and comfortable - so much so that I’ve ordered two more pair since purchasing my first pair. Depending on the shoe brand/style, I wear either size 7.5 or 8; in this style the 7.5 fits perfectly. Highly recommend!

    And, Soludo’s customer service is every bit as wonderful as its shoes. I recently needed to exchange an Original Espadrille style for a different size (for reference, in this style, I needed to size up to the 8-8.5) and Ivan in Customer Service was very responsive, handled everything quickly, professionally and was very personable. He actually made the hassle of having to exchange a pleasant experience! ☀️
