My review title sums it up. I liked the idea of espadrilles but I was not sure how comfortable they would be. Flat and or thin soled shoes often give me knee pain, but these have not been a problem. They are comfortable, light, and pair well with linen. The quality seems to be good - though I wish they were not made in China for various reasons. I guess you cannot have everything.

I also bought a second pair in vintage blue. The soles on this pair are noticeably thinner than on the cabernet red espadrilles. They are a bit less comfortable for walking on hard surface, but on soft surfaces they are find.
